John Benedict & Suguna Ravi

John Benedict and his wife Suguna Ravi came to Hartford, CT on the invitation from Hartford Hospital in 1989 and ever since, he has been working at Hartford Healthcare. Both are born again Christians while they were in their teens in India. Having grown up in Christian homes, prayer life has been part of their life. They are blessed with two children Janice and Sam. Janice is married to Simeon and they are blessed with two children Sunaya (11) and Jude (7) they live in South Carolina. Sam is working at Baystate hospital and is living with us at home in Windsor.

Rev. Dr. Abraham Chan (陈晓东牧师/博士)

Rev. Dr. Abraham Chan has served the Lord for over 30 years. He accepted the Lord in a Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) church in Hong Kong in 1982 and was baptized in the Bread of Life Christian Church in Taipei. After graduating from China Graduate School of Theology in Hong Kong, he was appointed as a preacher by Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong (Basel Mission), engaged in church planting, missions, and theological education.

Pastors Doug and Karis Rowse

Doug and Karis Rowse moved to South Windsor to plant a church in January, 1997.  They met Tom and Lisa Walsh who were also new church planters and within few months these two ministry couples were to merge their fledgling churches and formed "New River Church", funded by an independent Baptist church.  God blessed New River and used the church as a catalyst for bringing greater unity to the Church in this region.  Throughout the past 24 years, they have launched three other churches, helped to build a hospital in Congo, and built a school in Nicaragua. God is so good!

Pastor Clay Laughridge

Clay Laughridge arrived as senior pastor at New Song Assembly in July 2015. Clay's desire is that New Song will be a place where people can come to know and experience the presence of God and to be drawn into intimate relationship with Him. He believes his role as a pastor is to equip others to grow in Christian maturity and to present the love of God and the gospel of Christ in the Pawcatuck-Westerly community. Clay and his wife Andrea were married in 2009 and have three children, Owen, Anna, and Evan.
