Pastors John and Joan Gerlach

Pastor John with his wife Joan and two children serves as Senior Pastor at Trinity Church and Branford United Methodist Church in Branford, CT.

Pastor John received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University in 1980 with a Major in Sociology and a Minor in Business Management. He earned a Masters of Divinity degree from the Yale Divinity School in 1996. He is an Ordained Elder in the New York Conference of the United Methodist Church, as well as a Charter Member of the Wesleyan Covenant Association.

Prior to his call to full-time ordained ministry, Pastor John had a successful career in the publishing industry working for Condé Nast Publications and CBS.

Pastor John loves the Lord and has a passion for proclaiming the Good News. His three top priorities are: God, His family, and the Church.
