The Vision
THE HEAVENLY VISION
A small group of highly respected pastors and prayer warriors from various churches in and around New London County prayed every week on a regular basis for nearly 40+ years for God to bring unity and oneness among pastors, leaders and churches in New England.
The God of heaven has heard the sincere prayers of the godly men and women of this region. God has graciously showed His plan in a heavenly vision in 2007 (Acts 26:19) to bring like-minded Christian believers (Philippians 2:2; 1 Peter 3:8) from various churches, denominations and prayer warriors together in unity and oneness and pray for this region (John 17; 1 Timothy 2:1-2). In that vision, the Lord pointed out a man who was sitting in the crowd and The Lord asked the one who saw this vision to pray for his salvation (1 Timothy 2:3-7). As he began to pray the Lord opened his spiritual eyes (2 Kings 6:17; Luke 24:31) to see the remarkable transformation that began to happen in that place.
Suddenly the power of God hit that man and the entire congregation (Acts 2:2). The atmosphere of that place radically changed: the congregation began to sob and gave their lives to Christ; and some stood up and testified that they had been healed from brokenness, sickness and some even jumped out of wheelchairs and began to walk. This move of God looked like the great awakening started once again right in that moment.
Many of the most notable moves of God throughout the scripture and history have been preceded by a gathering of God’s people in one place in agreement to seek God’s face (Deuteronomy 31:12-13; Acts 2:1-47; Hebrews 10:24-25). Having had the vision from the Lord, few like-minded pastors and leaders gathered together on a regular basis seeking the Lord to fulfill the vision for the move of God in this region.
Our prayers have the power (Matthew 18:19-20) to bring oneness among us and cause a change we need in our homes, communities, our children, and schools. No longer will we sit idly still while the enemy steal, kill and destroy us and anything that concerns us! We will stand united as Body of Christ for a change, restoration and healing we need.
HIGHER CALLING - UNITY AND ONENESS
The Seventeenth Chapter of John is generally referred to as "The Great Intercessory Prayer," or "The High Priestly Prayer of Jesus." Verse 21: "that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me." Here in His "Great Intercessory Prayer," Jesus prays for each child of God to abide in the same unity that exists between Him and the Father that allows for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, thereby forming an oneness with God. The ultimate result will be that the world comes to believe that the Jesus is the messiah; was sent by the Father God.
As children of God we walk in unity based on God’s Word, but not in the unity of human opinion. The only way for the body of Christ to be truly united, is to abide by the word of God, apostles teachings, the Word of Christ, and that is from God the Father in heaven. The word of God doesn’t change, and abides with us always. Let every child of God be like minded and walk in the unity with the mind of Christ, and faithfully walk with God. The following scriptures support God's heart for our unity. John 17:21; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Corinthians 2:16; Psalm 133:1; Amos 3:3; Rom 16:17; 2 Corinthians 13:11; Ephesians 4:3-6; Philippians 2:2; Philippians 3:16; 1 Peter 1:23-25; James 1:17; Acts 2:42; 2 John 6,9; John 7:16,17; Matthew 15:7-9; Colossians 2:22.
