Wanda L. Short

Elder Wanda L. Short is a native of Wallace, South Carolina and has been living in CT since 1985.

Elder Short professional experiences are in the areas of finance, education, and engineering. She is currently employed as a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise Financial Services in Portland, CT. Previous experiences include Acting Director of the Shiloh Family Life Center in New London, CT; Engineering Instructor at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, CT; and Senior Structural, Acoustic and Vibration Engineer at Anteon and General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation in Groton, CT.

Elder Short’s education includes M.A. in Transformative Leadership & Spirituality at Hartford Seminary, M.S. in Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and B.S/M.S. in Civil Engineering at Clemson University.

Currently, Elder Short is an ordained Associate Minister at Shiloh New London Church; Life Member and 1st Vice-President of NCNW New London County Section; and member of the NAACP New London County Section. She is also past Treasurer of Shiloh Development Corporation, New London; past 1st Vice-President of NAACP New London County Section; and former member of L&M Hospital Board of Cooperators, New London.
