Pastor Donald Johnson is a Raleigh, North Carolina native.  He graduated from the Hartford Public School system.  He is an Army Veteran where he served our country for 7 ½ years and received Honorably Discharged in 1983.  In 2007, Pastor Johnson received a degree in Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counseling.  He also graduated from the Black Ministry Program at the Hartford Seminary and has studied at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA.  He is currently in New Burgh Theological Seminary in New York.  Pastor Johnson is very active in the community of Hartford where he is one of the founders of Hope Street Ministry.  Bishop Johnson currently serving as the Chaplin for Men Standing Up Against Violence which is a ministry where men are coming together to stand against violence in the city of Hartford.  

Pastor Johnson was later chosen into pastoring in 2003 and the Lord allowed him to birth New Hope Christian Church Ministry.  On October 29, 2019, Pastor Johnson was consecrated as Bishop under Chief Apostle Antwan Chavis of Kingdom Connections International, of Syracuse, N.Y. 

Bishop Johnson has 4 children from the late Barbara Johnson – Anthony, Sherell, Donald Jr., and Gregory.  Bishop Johnson was remarried on August 1, 2010, to First Lady, Reverend Lisa A. Johnson who is a native of Florida and has 3 children, Ahkeem, Elder Melvin, lll, and Aryelle Dawson.

Bishop Johnson is a good Sheppard, Leader, and Teacher.  He is a man who is continually seeking God for the next level for this ministry.  He is a man after God’s own heart and Bishop doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty for the building of God’s kingdom.
